We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting-Cost Specialist to join our finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the accurate management of cost accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. Your expertise will support our organization’s financial health and strategic decision-making by ensuring precise cost management and compliance with industry standards.
Duties
· Support day-to-day accounting activities, including data entry and maintaining financial records
· Assist with preparing, reviewing, and issuing client invoices in accordance with contract terms
· Help track contract details such as billing rates, budgets, and key milestones
· Review timesheets and expenses to ensure accuracy and alignment with project contracts
· Maintain organized contract files and documentation (agreements, amendments, change orders)
· Assist with account reconciliations and financial reporting
· Support month-end close processes
· Coordinate with project managers to ensure accurate billing and contract compliance
· Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data cleanup)
· Analyze large datasets to identify discrepancies, trends, and billing issues
· Exposure to Deltek Vantagepoint or similar systems is a plus, but not required
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data
· Good organizational and time management skills
· Effective communication skills and willingness to learn
Salary: $75K-$100K
