Program Manager – Power/Energy

Haydan Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Program Manager Power – Energy to lead a multi-disciplinary team of power & energy professionals.

Responsibilities for the position include, but may not be limited to, the following:

1. Prepares and delivers presentations on behalf and in support of the client’s program.
2. Serves as the single point of contact to the client and acts as a liaison between management and clients on advanced program-related issues.
3. Interacts with executive level government or public officials and/or executive level clients on significant program matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
4. Assesses and manages risk on behalf of the client.
5. Lead the development and implementation of a project execution plan in support of the successful execution of the project or program
6. Lead a diverse team of professionals including, but not limited to: project managers, construction managers, project controls professionals, estimating, public outreach, procurement professionals, environmental professionals, consultants, owners engineering, risk management etc.Haydan’s Energy practice provides a wide range of services from consulting and engineering design to energy engineering, energy procurement and construction (EPC) for power, energy efficiency, and renewable energy clients.

Minimum Requirements:

1. BA/BS degree and 10+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience.
2. Experience must include previous management of transmission and distribution (T&D) projects including high voltage substations and transmission lines.
3. Experience leading the development and implementation of a project execution plan in support of the successful execution of the project or program.
4. Experience leading a diverse team of professionals including, but not limited to: project managers, construction managers, project controls professionals, estimating, public outreach, procurement professionals, environmental professionals, consultants, owners engineering, risk management etc.
5. Extensive experience in contract negotiation, risk mitigation and change management Experience managing large scale EPC contracts.
6. Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record

Preferred Qualifications :

1. Experience within the New York State electric market
2. 15+ years of relevant experience
3. Experience with HVDC technologies
4. Experience with offshore power, subsea cables
5. Experience managing a P&L
6. PMP certification preferred
7. Experience managing transmission level grid interconnects
8. High Voltage power engineering and/or construction related experience
