Making use of emergency authorization that allowed for changes to procurement and construction management methods, the New York City Department of Design and Construction delivered for New York during the COVID-19 crisis by quickly and efficiently constructing necessary facilities. Haydan served as a subconsultant to Jacobs, providing site supervision and field inspection services for the construction of 10 emergency COVID-19 facilities throughout the five boroughs. Tasks performed by Haydan included monitoring and inspecting the construction for proper means and methods, maintaining daily work logs, reading and interpreting blueprints and drafting meticulous daily reports, including photographs, detailing all construction activity.
